It's been almost two years since I have started my journey to better health. I have fallen, gotten back up, fallen again, succeeded and sometimes failed, but I am still committed to improving my health. Healthy living, especially when we're talking about diet, is never black and white. No one can give you a list of magic food that will constantly make you feel amazing and make you the picture of perfect health. Everyone is different and if you want to be healthy, you have to be willing to try new things and discover what works best for you, right now! Which brings me to plants...lots and lots of plants! I have decided to push myself just a little further and take on what many experts say is the most beneficial way of eating...a plant based diet. Now I am not an advocate for overly restrictive diets, which this very well turn into, so for now I am still going to include some animal products, like eggs and the occasional salmon filet. But moving forward, the majority of my meals will be ALL plants or plant based products, like soy tofu. No red meat, no processed junk and no dairy. Yikes! I'm worried already.....

I'll be sharing updates, recipes and most likely, stories of my never ending craving for a meat and cheese plate! Or a grilled chicken pizza! Or a turkey burger with goat cheese! Oh no, I'm in trouble! So wish me luck and follow me through my quest for better health!
First step....juice, juice, juice! I'll be adding fresh vegetable juices to every meal to boost my immune system, help crush cravings and pack my body with healthy nutrients to get myself ready for my new plant based diet!
